“Kakitsis Sails” is committed to producing quality sails using the finest materials and workmanship.
Accordingly “Kakitsis Sails” warrants that the sail will be free from defects in manufacturing materials and workmanship to the original purchaser for two years charter use and three years for private use from the date of purchase.
If any defect in manufacturing, materials or workmanship should arise during the warranty period, “Kakitsis Sails” will correct the defect at “Kakitsis Sails” discretion and replace the sail or refund the purchase price.
Any “Kakitsis Sails” product to be warranted, must be returned to a certified “Kakitsis Sails” service loft, for evaluation.
“Kakitsis Sails” cannot replace products due to incorrect sizing, if the original purchaser fails to promotive inspect the sail product immediately upon receipt and notice “Kakitsis Sails” within sixty (60) days of incorrect sizing problem.
Warranty claims will only be accepted if the sail product has been used for its intended purpose and for a specific boat. Any sail product used for an unintended purpose will not be eligible for warranty protection.
Warranty Limitations (all purchases)
“Kakitsis Sails” warranty for Sails does not cover damage resulting from :
. Improper exposure to environmental conditions, such as sunlight and rain or wind, when not needed.
. Neglect insufficient care, improper storage, maintenance, incorrect mounting use of solvents or chemicals (frequent wash by fresh water only recommended)
. Accidental damage caused by an event external to the sea
. Overstress caused by overloading use of the sail beyond its designed wind range, excessive flogging or improper rigging and de-rigging and wrong trimming.
. Improper treatment or damage, resulting from changes modifications or repairs made to the sail by other Sail makers.
. Improper folding when sail not in use (sail must be dried before folding)

If you have a “Kakitsis Sails” Sail product that you think should be considered for warranty, please take it back to the “Kakitsis Sail” loft or dealer where you purchased it with your prototype purchase documentation.
